Maisha Serengeti Camps

Terms and Conditions

Main Camp Sites: Central Serengeti (Seronera) – January to December
Supplements:
  • USD 25 per person per day on 24th, 25th, 26th, 31st December and 1st January (New Year and Christmas Supplements)
  • For all inclusive: USD 45 per person inclusive of soft drinks, beers, local spirits and house wines.
Guides:
  • Guides’ shared accommodation and meals are charged at 10,000/= Tshs. Only drinks included are a bottle of mineral water, tea and coffee. Guides not wishing to occupy shared guide accommodation shall pay the full, applicable guest rate.
  • Delighted for guides to join guests for meals, at no extra cost, and those wishing to eat staff food, should leave a message as he leaves for the morning game drive as we do not like to limit Driver Guides and make it a must to eat with clients.
Rates Include:

Full Board accommodation, coffee, tea and water during meals.

Rates exclude:

Park fees, Tourism Development Levy, flights, alcoholic drinks, Special Camp Site fees, transfers to and from the camp, game drives and excursions from the Camp.

Basic Terms
  • Rates are ONLY quoted in US Dollars
  • Rates are inclusive of government taxes
  • ALL rates are per person per night
  • Full Board basis is dinner, bed, breakfast and Lunch. Lunch can be a hot lunch or take-away lunch boxes
Tour Leader Rates

We will grant the agent one single room for the use of a Bona Fide Tour Leader, for any Group over 15 paying guests, under the condition that he or she will pay only the camping fees and other extras and Full Board Accommodation will be free of charge for the number of nights stayed subject to availability, must be requested at time of booking

Payments
  • 20% Deposit on making booking
  • 30 Days before arrival full payment to be received
  • Extras are to be settled in full before departure
  • Cheques retuned by the bank will incur a 5% “returned cheque fee”

NOTE: Maisha Serengeti Camps reserves the right to release any booking that does not comply with the above terms.

Booking Agents shall pay by company cheque or by direct transfer into Maisha Serengeti Camp’s bank account (below) and the paying in slip scanned copy emailed to Maisha Serengeti Camps.

Failure to email a scanned copy of the bank deposit slip may lead to the booking being released to the waitlist. Please always indicate the Maisha Serengeti Camps Invoice number and date of check in.

Special diets

A pleasure to cater for special diets but full information is required when booking so that we can submit menu for approval to guest before arrival.

Cancellation Policy & Release Periods

If a confirmed booking is amended or cancelled by the booking agent for any reason, the deposit will be forfeited and further penalties are payable by the Booking Agent in accordance with the following schedule:

  • 60-30 Days Before schedule date of arrival: 50 % cancellation fee of the per person rate
  • 29 -15 Days Before schedule date of arrival: 75% cancellation fee of the per person rate
  • 15 to day of arrival: 100 % cancellation fee of the per person rate
Provisional Bookings

Provisional Booking will be held subject to availability and at the discretion of Maisha Serengeti Camps. Maisha Serengeti Camps have the right to charge cancellation fees against Provisional Bookings not cancelled or amended as per the cancellation policy

No cancellation fee will be levied if the property is 100% full.

Hand washed laundry

If staying 3 or more nights, at own risk and guests accept the chance of departing with damp/wet clothing. Laundry price lists at camp.

Insurance:

All guests are expected to have personal emergency evacuation and medical insurance in case of emergency. Proof of insurance may be requested

Liability:

Maisha Serengeti Camps do not and will not accept any responsibility for any accident or incident of any nature involving clients/guests and or staff of any tour company who are at any of the camps or whilst travelling to or from any camp or partaking in any activity, arranged by, associated with or owned by Maisha Serengeti Camps.

Other Terms and Conditions
  • Maisha reserves the right to alter prices, terms and conditions at any time. Every effort to provide fair warning will be made. However, every effort will be made to maintain them
  • In the event of a change on government taxes, levies, concession fees or wildlife management fees, Maisha Serengeti reserves the right to pass these on to the Agent.
  • Maisha Serengeti reserves the right to refuse bookings at our absolute discretion.
  • Maisha Serengeti reserves the right to refuse occupancy to and to expel guests, drivers and/or guides at our absolute discretion.
  • Any disputes or complaints concerning reservations, payments or service shall be made in writing to the Managing Director within 7 working days or it will be deemed that they are void and no compromise will be made to outstanding monies.
Refunds

Should any client arrive late or request an early departure, no refund will be granted. Whilst Maisha Serengeti Camp will ensure that all anticipated accommodation will be available as planned, there shall be no claim of any nature against the Maisha Serengeti Camp for a refund, either in part or whole, If any accommodation and or excursion is unavailable and reasonable alternative was found or – if the guest were unable to make use of the service for any reason

Confidentiality

The Agent confirms that the above contract, rate and terms and conditions are strictly confidential and that no portion of this agreement may be divulged to any third party

Breach

Maisha Serengeti Camps will consider any default or non-compliance with any of the terms and conditions contained with this agreement as a breach of contract and therefore make this contract null and void. Furthermore, it may cancel any booking paid or unpaid as a result of such breach and claim damages due to default.
